Fees, Appointments & Booking

Choosing your physiotherapist

You can always choose who you see. Every physiotherapist on our team page has a full profile — qualifications, special interests and sporting background — so you can pick the person whose experience best fits your problem, and book them by name through HotDoc or by phone.

Complex, recurrent or long-standing problems can be booked directly with our director, Dr Steve Saunders. New patients can book a 60-minute initial consultation with Steve online from his profile; for any other appointment with Steve, call the clinic and we'll arrange a time and confirm his fees.

Payment and health fund claims

We accept EFTPOS and cash, and we process on-the-spot claims with most major private health insurers — including Bupa, Medibank and HCF — through HICAPS. Bring your physical health fund card or the digital version on your phone to claim your rebate at the time of your appointment.

If you don't have your card with you, pay in full on the day and claim through your fund's app or portal; we'll give you a printed or emailed receipt.

Referrals, Medicare and funded programs

You don't need a referral to see us privately — just book online. If you have a GP care plan, DVA entitlement, NDIS plan or a compensable claim, call us first on (08) 8410 5666 and we'll confirm what applies to your situation and what paperwork to bring. Our NDIS physiotherapy page has more detail for participants.

Cancellations

Schedules change — we get it. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours' notice so someone else can use the time. As a courtesy, a reminder SMS is sent 48 hours before your appointment.

Missed appointments, same-day cancellations, or reschedules with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee equal to the full consultation fee. If you develop cold or flu-like symptoms, contact us to reschedule — no late fee applies in those circumstances.

Fees & booking questions

Why is the initial consultation longer and more expensive?

Your first appointment includes a detailed history and a thorough physical assessment — often with objective testing — so your plan is built on an accurate diagnosis. That takes a full hour, and it is the most valuable hour of your rehabilitation.

How do I book a specific physiotherapist?

Choose them by name in HotDoc when you book online, or call the clinic and ask. Team profiles on our website list each physio's qualifications and special interests to help you decide.

How do appointments with Dr Steve Saunders work?

Steve consults on complex and recurrent cases. New patients can book a 60-minute initial consultation with him online through HotDoc, from his profile page. For any other appointment with Steve, or to confirm his fee schedule before you commit, call the clinic on (08) 8410 5666.

Will I get a rebate from my health fund?

Most private health extras policies cover physiotherapy. We process claims on the spot through HICAPS with most major insurers, so you only pay the gap. The rebate amount depends on your fund and level of cover.

Do you offer Medicare-funded appointments?

Patients with an eligible GP chronic disease management (care) plan can claim a Medicare rebate for a set number of sessions per year. Call us before booking and we'll explain how it works and what to bring.
