Gilles Street, city south

Physiotherapy in the Adelaide CBD

Our flagship clinic sits on Gilles Street at the southern end of the Adelaide CBD — one street north of South Terrace and the parklands. Science-backed physiotherapy for people who live, work or train in the city.

A physio clinic in the city's south

You will find us at Level 3, 12 Gilles Street, Adelaide — in the quieter southern end of the CBD, one street north of South Terrace and the South Parklands. If you work anywhere in the city, we are an easy trip at lunch or either side of the working day; if you are coming from the inner-southern suburbs just across the parklands, such as Unley, Parkside, Wayville or Goodwood, you reach us without crossing the city centre.

Saunders Physiotherapy has treated Adelaide from the CBD since 1990, and Gilles Street is home to our full team and technology suite.

Finding us: the street door to Level 3

The clinic is inside the office building at 12–24 Gilles Street. Walk in under the building canopy, take the lift to Level 3, and our reception is straight ahead as you step out. The short clip below walks the whole route, then carries on through the consulting rooms and the rehabilitation gym.

If you drive, the building has parking below it — pay before you return to your car. If you cannot find the entrance, phone (08) 8410 5666 and we will talk you in.

Footpath to Level 3, then through the consulting rooms and the gym. 28 seconds, no sound.

What makes Gilles Street our flagship

The Gilles Street clinic houses the equipment that sets our care apart: the KangaTech KT360 strength-testing system our founder pioneered in the AFL, real-time ultrasound, slow-motion video analysis and a rehabilitation gym. It is where our full range of services runs — from sports injury and performance rehabilitation and spinal physiotherapy to remedial massage, dry needling and custom orthotics.

Every program is grounded in the same principle: measure first, treat with evidence, and prove the result — see our published outcomes framework and research credentials.

Built around city working hours

City appointments need to fit around work, so the clinic opens early and stays open late on several days:

  • Monday 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • Tuesday 7:00am – 7:00pm
  • Wednesday 8:00am – 6:30pm
  • Thursday 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • Friday 7:00am – 5:00pm

Early and after-work times let you book physiotherapy without carving up your work day.

No GP referral is needed for standard appointments, and HICAPS is available for on-the-spot private health claims. Our fee schedule is published in full.

Who we see in the CBD

Our city patients are a cross-section of Adelaide: office workers with neck pain, headaches or low back pain from long desk days; runners and gym-goers training in the parklands and city gyms; students; and athletes from metropolitan and country clubs who come to Gilles Street for KangaTech profiling and structured rehabilitation.

If the inner south is more convenient than the city, our partner location at the Arruda Clinic, 375 Cross Road, Edwardstown delivers the same care with the same team.

Can I fit physio around city work hours?

Yes — that is how the clinic is designed. Doors open at 7:00am on Tuesday and Friday and at 8:00am on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. We stay open until 7:00pm on Tuesday, 6:30pm on Wednesday, 6:00pm on Monday and Thursday and 5:00pm on Friday, so early, lunchtime and after-work appointments are all options.

No. You can book directly online through HotDoc or by phone. A referral is only needed for certain funded programs, such as a Medicare care plan arranged by your GP.

I live south of the city — should I book Gilles Street or Edwardstown?

Whichever is easier to attend regularly. Gilles Street houses our full technology suite, including KangaTech KT360 testing, real-time ultrasound and video analysis; Edwardstown offers the same team and standards closer to the inner-southern suburbs.
