KangaTech Assessment
A KangaTech assessment gives you hard numbers on your muscle strength, endurance and control, measured on the system our founder Steve Saunders developed at North Melbourne Football Club and now used in professional sport worldwide.
What is a KangaTech assessment?
The KangaTech testing unit allows accurate and reliable measurement of isolated muscle strength, endurance and control, from hamstrings and groin to neck and shoulder. In a single session we test the muscle groups relevant to your sport or injury, compare left to right, and benchmark you against your own previous results over time.

Why objective measurement matters
Strength deficits and imbalances are easy to miss by feel and easy to see in data. Objective testing helps identify injury risk factors before they become injuries, shows precisely how rehab is progressing, and supports return-to-play decisions with numbers rather than guesswork. It is equally valuable for athletes in pre-season screening and for anyone rebuilding after injury.
How to book
KangaTech assessments are booked by phoning the clinic directly on (08) 8410 5666 so we can set aside the right equipment and time. Assessments are available at our Adelaide CBD clinic at Level 3, 12 Gilles Street, and can be arranged for individuals, junior athletes and teams.
Frequently asked questions
How do I book a KangaTech assessment?
Phone the clinic on (08) 8410 5666. KangaTech assessments are booked by phone rather than online so we can allocate the equipment and the right amount of time.
Who should get a KangaTech assessment?
Athletes wanting pre-season screening, anyone rehabilitating an injury who wants objective progress measures, and people whose physiotherapist recommends baseline strength testing.
What does the assessment involve?
You perform short, maximal-effort muscle tests against fixed sensors while the system records force data. It is not exhausting, and your physiotherapist explains your results on the spot.
