Ergonomic Assessments
Hours at a poorly set up desk are a common driver of neck pain, back pain and headaches. An ergonomic assessment reviews you at your workstation and fixes the hazards before they become injuries.
What is an ergonomic assessment?
An ergonomic assessment is a structured review of a worker at their workstation, making sure the setup supports correct posture and reducing the hazards that lead to strain and injury. Because our assessors are physiotherapists, the review is informed by a clinical understanding of how neck, back and upper limb problems actually develop, not just a checklist.
What we look at
A typical 30-minute review covers:
- Chair setup, desk and monitor heights
- Keyboard, mouse and equipment positioning
- Sitting and standing posture and movement habits
- Task and break patterns through the working day
- Any current symptoms and their likely workstation contributors
Most adjustments can be made on the spot, with the rest documented as recommendations.
What you receive
After the review you receive a written report with clear, prioritised recommendations, sent within 7 business days. Reports are practical and specific, suitable for employees to act on directly and for employers meeting their work health and safety obligations.
Who it suits
Ergonomic assessments suit individual office workers with desk-related pain, people setting up a home office, and employers wanting workstation reviews for staff. If symptoms are already established, an assessment pairs well with physiotherapy treatment to settle the pain while the causes are fixed.

Do you do assessments for whole workplaces?
Yes. We work with employers to review multiple staff workstations, with individual reports and recommendations for each worker.
